A field's total counts every role in it, so the fields overlap where a job matches more than one. Rows in grey are business roles at technology employers rather than technical roles.

Experience employers ask for

Of the 2,207 openings that state a requirement — 47.9% of the index — this is what they ask for. The other 2,400 say nothing about experience and are not counted here.

Experience Open roles Share of those stating
0-2 years 267 12.1%
3-5 years 1,406 63.7%
6-9 years 389 17.6%
10+ years 145 6.6%

A posting is counted by the minimum it asks for, so "3-5 years" is counted as 3. Requirements are read from the posting's own text; nothing is inferred from a job title.

Who says what they pay

12 of the 4,319 openings that carry a description state a pay figure — 0.28%. The other 288 openings have no description, so they are not counted here.

What the posting says Open roles Share of described
States a pay range 4 0.1%
States a pay figure 8 0.2%
Mentions pay, no figure 576 13.3%
Says nothing about pay 3,731 86.4%

Too few postings state a figure for a change over time to mean anything, so no trend is shown until at least 30 do. A figure counts only when a pay word appears beside it, so a car allowance or a signing bonus is not read as a salary. Only shekel figures count: a US or European pay range quoted in a global employer's posting describes a job in that country, not this one.

What the official figures say

We do not estimate salaries. These are the Central Bureau of Statistics' own figures, and every one is a gross monthly wage per employee job — not per employee, so part-time posts pull the average below what a full-time salary looks like.

Part of the economy Average gross monthly Year on year
Hi-tech ₪31,332 +5.9%
Whole economy ₪13,588 +4.6%
Financial corporations ₪21,499

Hi-tech accounted for 9.8% of all employee jobs in the economy that month. Figures describe November 2025 and were published on 04 February 2026 by the Central Bureau of Statistics. Release 039/2026
