Data Engineer (Python ETL & Integrations)

About the Role We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to own and scale the data pipelines that power our travel marketplace. You'll build supplier integrations, optimize ETL workflows, and ensure high-quality data flows seamlessly from external providers into our search and booking platforms. This is a hands-on role with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape a platform serving millions of travelers worldwide. What You'll Do Build and maintain supplier integrations using Python , REST APIs, and data feeds. Design and manage Airflow workflows for scheduled and event-driven ingestion. Own and optimize data loading pipelines into PostgreSQL and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch . Improve data quality through deduplication, entity matching, and multilingual content normalization. Enhance pipeline reliability, observability, monitoring, and failure recovery. Collaborate with engineering teams on data models, APIs, and platform architecture . What You'll Bring 6+ years of experience building production-grade Python data pipelines . Strong SQL and PostgreSQL expertise. Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools. Proven experience integrating third-party APIs at scale , including authentication, pagination, rate limiting, and retries. Experience with AWS and/or Azure , containers, and CI/CD workflows. A pragmatic, ownership-driven mindset with a focus on shipping high-quality solutions. Nice to Have Django / Django REST Framework experience. Experience with travel, marketplace, or e-commerce data.
