Application Engineer – Emulation and Prototyping

Role Overview As an Application Engineer – Emulation and Prototyping, you will work as part of a growing team supporting customer engagements. You will be responsible for delivering technical solutions, supporting customer activities, and enabling successful deployment of Cadence emulation technologies. This is a customer-facing technical role combining hands-on engineering, problem solving, and collaboration with global Cadence teams. Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement & Support: Work directly with customers to deploy and support emulation and prototyping solutions Assist in resolving technical issues and provide timely support Build strong relationships with customer engineering teams Technical Execution: Contribute to emulation and acceleration flows, debug, and performance optimization Support benchmarks, evaluations, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) Solution Development: Help develop customer-specific solutions using Cadence tools Work with senior engineers and team leads on advanced engagements Collaboration: Work with local team in Israel and global Cadence R&D and AE teams WW. Required Skills & Experience Technical Background: 10+ years of experience in digital design or verification Strong RTL knowledge (SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL) Experience with debug and simulation flows Preferred: FPGA development experience (advantage) Familiarity with UVM or modern verification methodologies Linux/Unix and scripting (Python, Tcl, etc.) Soft Skills Strong problem-solving skills Good communication and customer interaction abilities Team-oriented mindset Qualifications BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field 10+ years of relevant experience Key Success Factors Deliver high-quality customer support Fast ramp-up on emulation technologies Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Show more Show less
