Description

We're looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team and help drive the quality of our web products end to end, with a strong focus on building, scaling, and maintaining our automation infrastructure. This is a high-impact, hands-on role focused on E2E, smoke, and regression test automation, working alongside an active manual testing effort. You'll be a key technical contributor in our transition toward a more automated QA process. You'll help shape our automation strategy, contribute to testing standards, and lead automated testing efforts while collaborating closely with the wider QA and development teams. This role involves direct contact with stakeholders across the company and suits a self-reliant, senior individual who thrives with a high degree of autonomy. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain a scalable automated test framework (Playwright + TypeScript) covering critical user flows and integrations, including E2E, smoke, and critical-path tests. Build automations using AI tools and agents to accelerate test generation, debugging, and framework maintenance. Contribute to the test automation strategy for our web products and help define automation quality standards and best practices. Collaborate with and mentor teammates on automation best practices and framework usage to ensure shared ownership. Work alongside our active manual testing effort , helping identify which cases to automate and coordinating coverage across manual and automated testing. Support release readiness , including risk assessment, automation execution, and go / no-go decisions. Collaborate closely with Product, Developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and identify automation risks early. Continuously improve QA processes, tooling, and coverage based on product and team needs. Support occasional release windows or urgent production validations when required. Requirements 5+ years of experience in QA for web products, with a heavy emphasis on test automation. Playwright + TypeScript hands-on experience (big advantage), or equivalent Selenium / Cypress experience (Python, Java, or JavaScript) and a proven ability to ramp up quickly. Hands-on experience building automations using AI tools and agents (e.g., test generation, debugging assistance, automation maintenance). Deep understanding of web and client-server fundamentals (HTTP, authentication/session management, browser behavior). Strong debugging and validation skills using Postman / Swagger, browser DevTools, logs, and monitoring tools. Cross-functional experience working with Product and Engineering in release-driven environments. Experience with Jira (or similar tools). Strong English communication skills (written and spoken). CI/CD integration experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.). What We Offer A senior, high-ownership role with direct influence on the technical direction of quality.
