Propulsion Project Manager

About the role Our Space and Missile Systems Division is looking for a Propulsion Project Manager to lead complex propulsion development activities, working closely with subcontractors, engineering teams, and senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Manage a key propulsion system subcontractor, including specification, development follow-up, and technical oversight. Lead design and development reviews with the manufacturer, customers, and factory management. Act as part of the System Engineering team within the project. Lead system-level testing activities, including engine firing tests and experimental campaigns. Manage cross-functional engineering teams in a matrix structure across multiple disciplines. Work closely with project managers in the business unit on the development of new systems and products. Drive complex engineering development programs from concept through validation and testing. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering / Materials Engineering / Chemistry – Mandatory Experience in propulsion systems/engines – Mandatory At least 5 years of managerial experience (direct or matrix management) – Must Experience in subcontractor management – Mandatory Experience in the development of propulsion systems and understanding of solid or liquid rocket engine development processes, systems/engines – Advantage About us: Collaboration with senior program managers in a dynamic business unit environment Exposure to end-to-end development of advanced systems and new products Leading complex system-level engineering challenges Responsibility for high-impact experimental and testing campaigns Show more Show less
